Meet the Players!
Meet some of the actors and actresses who have appeared in "Quest for Glory." This page introduces you to individuals, which is all we are singly - none of us could produce a movie by ourselves, but when we come together and combine the talents God has given us, we become Burns Family Studios – an amazing team of hard working young people dedicated to making movies that glorify God.
Aaron Burns
Colt Montross in Quest for Glory
Aaron would like to think of himself as an actor, musician, and historian. He loved the chance to do some of his favorite things in the production of "Quest for Glory." When he’s not doing historic research, writing, or filming movies, Aaron enjoys playing instruments, collecting weapons, hunting with his dad, and whittling. Aaron’s desire, as he continues to work with his cousins in BFT, is to make quality films that not only entertain, but draw the audience closer to God.
Alex Burns
This aspiring actor enjoys church activities, getting together with his cousins, his home group, and his friends when he is not engaged in schoolwork. He has appeared in numerous plays and two Burns Family Theater films. His other interests include, war gaming, airsoft gun fighting and researching historical settings for battle related scenes.
Chad Burns
Matthew Cunningham and Director of "Quest for Glory"
Chad completed 12 years of home-education and is now a Mechanical Engineering graduate student at the University of Illinois. He enjoys working with mobile robotics, and finds film making to be a great hobby that gives him an abstract break from the concrete realities of engineering. He has been able to blend his two loves by making films about engineering projects that he has worked on. Chad ‘fiddles’ around on the violin and enjoys playing baseball.
Lisa Burns
Aunt Betsy in "Quest for Glory"
Lisa Burns is a home-school graduate. In Burns Family Studios, she helped with costumes, lighting and acting. She enjoys continuing her education with on-line classes from Patrick Henry College, a correspondence music theory class and playing the piano. It is her deep desire that you will be blessed by Burns Family Studios’s production: Quest for Glory, a Tale of the American Civil War.
Marilyn Burns
Jessica Cunningham, Script Writer and Cinematographer in "Quest for Glory"
Marilyn is a home-school graduate now studying music at Oakland University. She loves to play her violin and piano, and enjoys teaching music lessons. Marilyn is involved mainly in script writing and video, and she also played Jessica Cunningham in Quest for Glory. Marilyn has really had a wonderful time working with her cousins on Quest for Glory, and hopes that our movie will be an inspiration to other Christian families as well.
Nick Burns
Danny Montross and Chief Editor for "Quest for Glory"
Nicholas Burns’s place in Burns Family Studios is primarily as an actor, and in the post-production period, he serves as the Chief Editor. Outside of movie making, he enjoys painting, playing the guitar, and working on models and other projects with his father. He greatly appreciates his parent’s investment in his life and in his movies, and it is his hope that BFT’s productions will encourage the Family in its Christian walk.
Pat Burns
Under construction but coming soon!
Peter Burns
The boy who lit Burns Family Studios spark. Peter Burns is an 11 year old boy who enjoys a good game of flashlight tag and playing with miniature army men. Peter’s family had some friends over and together they made a short film – one thing led to another and they were making movies with their cousins. Peter also enjoys getting together with his cousins, writing scripts, planning movies and ultimately being a part of Burns Family Theater’s major production "Quest for Glory."
Sara Burns
Young Jessica Cunningham in "Quest for Glory"
Sara enjoys playing the flute, paper quilling, reading with her cats, knitting and gardening. She likes to get together with her cousins to play their instruments and work on movies. Sara is the group’s resident still photographer and not only acts in the movies but also helps with lighting and cameras.
Shannon Burns
Maria Cunningham in "Quest for Glory"
Shannon loves to read, play the flute and piano, and do things with her cousins. Shannon loves to take pictures and “dress up,” two things she enjoyed about the filming process. Her favorite school subject is history. Two of her favorite authors are Laura Ingalls Wilder and Martha Finley. In the winter she likes to ice-skate on the pond in her backyard.
Andy & Tracy Burns
Mr. and Mrs. Montross in "Quest for Glory"
Parents of Marilyn, Aaron, Shannon and Nathan
Andrew and Tracey Burns have home schooled their four children from the start. Mrs. Burns loves children - she enjoys teaching her own, as well as others at church and in her home school group. Mr. Burns is an information systems manager in the auto industry. He enjoys being with his family, and enjoyed the role he played in "Quest for Glory." Both Mr. and Mrs. Burns are excited about their children’s upcoming films, and are hoping to continue to be involved in the BFT group.
Ray & Adrianne Burns
Mr. Burns – Kline in Quest for Glory
Parents of Chad, Lisa, Nick, Sara and Peter
Ray and Adrianne Burns are the parents of five children who are working with their cousins to transform their society through media productions. They have had the privilege of living the homeschooling life for the past 23 years. One of the many blessings they have enjoyed in that time has been to help and watch their children develop the gifts that God has given them. They have enjoyed family style baseball at their home, gardening, hiking, reading together, unit studies, and movie making. Ray is an engineer for Good Earth Tools.
Jordan Zaner
Seymour Blake in "Quest for Glory"
Jordan was home schooled for nine years, and attended public high school for his senior year. He loves to read, and has an extensive hat collection. This fall, he plans to attend college in New York, where he will be studying international relations. After graduation, Jordan hopes to work in the U.S. State Department.
